|Inspects various phases of construction projects, other than buildings, to assure compliance with plans, specifications and agreements of the work; and performs other related duties as required.|
The current vacancies are with the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering & Construction Division. These positions are responsible for inspecting various phases of wastewater construction projects that involve the installation of sewer lines and appurtenances. Inspections are conducted to assure compliance with plans, specifications, and other contractual agreements. These positions also inspect work for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as those imposed by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

There are two (2) vacancies with the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering & Construction Division. Will be required to provide personal vehicle for regular job transportation and will be compensated at the established bargaining unit rates. May be required to work shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays to accommodate unusual problems or workload and construction schedules. |Minimum Qualification Requirements:|
|EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: |
Equivalent to a high school education. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
ONE (1) year of experience in inspecting or supervising construction work.
Examples of Qualifying Experience:
Inspectors, superintendents, trades supervisors, working trades supervisors, etc. with experience of such scope, level and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
