Job Description

Independently or under the guidance of the First Vice President or Vice President, analyzes, evaluates, documents, and closes commercial real estate loan transactions, and performs asset management activities for the assigned commercial real estate loan portfolio. Also involves underwriting and preparing loan presentations to the appropriate Credit authorities.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university.

* 12 months of commercial real estate lending experience with loans ranging in size from $500,000 to $50,000,000: Specialized experience in commercial real estate originating, underwriting, documenting, processing, closing, disbursing, servicing and asset management which includes payoffs, delinquencies, and workouts of real estate loans. This will include permanent loans as well as construction loans for residential subdivisions, condominiums, and various types of income properties.

* Working experience with various legal documents such as, but not limited to, the promissory notes, mortgages, assignments of rent, financing statements, security agreements, personal guaranties, construction contracts, architect's contracts, estoppel certificates, subordination agreements, indemnity agreements, lease agreements (ground and tenant), hazardous material agreements, workout agreements, and creditor's agreements.

* Strong skills in Excel, Word, and various widely used industry related websites and applications.

* Demonstrate effective communication skills in order to work with superiors, colleagues, subordinates, clients, and other related professional.

* Demonstrates mathematical skills to properly analyze financial statements, tax returns, construction cost breakdowns, cash flows and projections, budgets, and other related financial-based information.

* Ability to demonstrate problem recognition, problem solving, and decision making abilities relating to commercial real estate lending.

* Ability to apply state and federal regulations and management policies in handling job responsibilities.

* Ability to travel to all the major islands throughout the state of Hawaii and other destinations.

* Ability to interpret and apply Commercial Real Estate Lending Policy.
