This is a temporary warehouse specialist position.

Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the overall storage plan. Verifies material against receiving documents and reports discrepancies to the proper agency. May be required to remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment. Works under general supervision and guidance of the Supply Support Activity Manager in a LBE SSA.

Essential job functions include the verification of materials and equipment against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies, obvious damages, and deterioration; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, and/or palletizing materials in accordance with all DOD and US Army storage regulations. Responsible for conducting inventories of all stored materials, removing material from storage, and issuing to Customers. Familiarization with basic word processing to finalize various types of documents and daily transactions is essential.

Job will require the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in performing various warehousing functions. Knowledge of the Army supply system preferred. Must have some warehouse experience. Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 35+ lbs., pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to handle hazardous material/hazardous waste.

Additional duties will require performing housekeeping of the work areas. May be assigned to support contract support requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety, and security. May be cross-utilized in other job areas. Working conditions may be harsh at times. Must be able to work overtime.

Required Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively with people.
Must be able to obtain favorable security background check and possess a current Hawaii State driver?s license.
