Job: Station Design Contract Manager

Jobing Description

The Station Design Contract Manager ( Senior Supervising Engineer) will be responsible for the management, oversight and administration of one or more Final Design Contracts for several stations within the $5.2 billion Honolulu Rail Transit Project.

Serving on the staff of the General Engineering Consultant (GEC), the position will report to the Design Manager. Responsibilities will include the following:

* Manage the execution of Final Design Consultant activities in compliance with the project standards, approved budgets and schedule.
* Develop, in conjunction with Honolulu Rail Transit Project management, the most effective means in meeting the Project s objectives
* Represent the GEC in all stages of the project schedule, cost and quality reviews.
* Prepare and present regular project status reports to provide a clear picture to management on actual progress, cost, quality, client interaction and direction, critical issues and recommended actions.
* Oversee the quality verification of work by the Final Design Consultant
* Process design and construction documents; direct documents to appropriate resources for review and response using Contract Manager software.
* Review and process designer and contractor progress payments.
* Draft correspondence for signature by others.
* Direct preparation and processing of designer change orders.
* Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Engineering or Architecture degree and professional or architectural license. Ability to understand the technical and commercial aspects of documents processed.

* Project management experience in delivering projects on time and within budget
* Proficiency in presentation delivery, oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency in program and project management systems.
* Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues.
* Team player.
* Ability to work in the U.S., immediately.

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Architecture

Experience (yrs): Minimum 15 years relevant experience

Professional: Licensed professional engineer or architect
