Duties and Responsibilities
1. Primary duties include conducting research and teaching one course of one graduate seminar per semester.
2. Shares expertise through interactions with faculty and students.
3. Offers a seminar series or course in specialty area.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Ph.D in Botany or related field plus a minimum of four years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent.
2. Evidence of excellence in teaching.
3. Demonstrated continuing participation in the scholarly and academic affairs of a university or other appropriate organization, or in an appropriate professional society or organization, or in other appropriate job-related service activities.
4. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize assigned activities, including the supervision of work of assistants if appropriate.
5. Ability to undertake a variety of assignments within the University.
6. Demonstrated capacity for leadership in the department and scholarly discipline.
7. Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others.
