Job: On-Call Firewatch/Engineering Technician

Jobing Description

Kratos DES is hiring for on-call Firewatch / Engineering Technicians to provide general labor support to U.S. Navy ship and shore maintenance and modernization programs. The candidate must be capable of standing firewatch, performing material handling, grinding and other labor intensive efforts required during the execution of shipboard and shore installation programs. The candidate must be able to assist with some rigging and installation of structures and electronic equipment. Local candidates only, please.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Currently active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance prior to the start of employment is required; Currently active Secret clearance is preferred

* High School Diploma or GED is required

* 1 - 2 years of experience working on-board U.S. Navy ships and submarines is desired

* Candidate must possess knowledge of the approved use of installation tools and be familiar with safety procedures on U.S. Navy Ships and apply good safety habits at all times and comply with safety requirements.
