We are currently looking for a Network Engineer II . This position is based in Honolulu. HP does not provide relo for this position.
Assist in configuration, technical review and implementation of layer 2 and layer 3 devices for the NMCI network
Assist in the creation of Cisco router and switch configurations linking numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies across widely dispersed geographical areas for classified and unclassified intranet based upon approved architecture

Adhere to, and maintain, performance metrics
Assist in the timely delivery of Authority to Operate packages
Attend and participate in all scheduled customer and team meetings
Build professional and trusting relationships with all NMCI customers internal and external.
Build professional relationships with all internal and external NMCI customers
Communicate with other departments and organizations to ensure configuration effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency
Confer with internal and external teams and customers to successfully meet configuration requirements
Maintain information system data for Configuration Engineering deliverables
Maintain supporting documentation for work within the Applied Engineering group
Support customer efforts for requirements gathering, detail design, peer review, technical review and processing of related bill of materials for the NMCI network
Utilize established best practices to develop configuration and design documentation
Work as a team with Configuration Engineering, Technical Review, SRM Engineering, Design Engineering, Provisioning, and the NOC to ensure that the network is reliable and performance levels meet or exceed service level requirements
Work to ensure that the site network is reliable and that performance exceeds that of contracted service levels.
Work with other engineering teams to successfully meet the design and configuration requirements.
Perform duties to enhance quality assurance in the Service Management, Incident Management, Change Management organizations
Provide E-Mail and Phone support as required for the designs and configurations you produce.
Provide support to the Network Architecture organization to validate network design and architecture template accuracy/integrity and ATO delivery.
Troubleshoot network related problems as they pertain to network configuration and assist with the development of implementation processes and procedures

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field work experience
2-5 years relevant experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
CCNA and CCNP certifications preferred
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience. May hold entry-level or intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 2-5 years of relevant experience
