GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is a staff position of a government-consulting firm located in McLean, VA. The Logistics Senior Specialist will be located at the Pacific Command (PACOM) Headquarters, J4, Honolulu, Hawaii. The primary task will be to insure that the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Commanding General (CG), the Director of Current Operations G3/4, and all subordinate AMC commands and staff are kept informed and advised of theater critical events and intelligence. All work will be performed on-site at PACOM HQ.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Logistics Senior Specialist will be imbedded in the PACOM J4 staff, and must possess extensive background and knowledge of US Army integrated logistics processes, particularly those processes involving maintenance, transportation, supply, facility operations, acquisition, financial management and the provisions and services in support of Combat Service Support (CSS) missions. The Logistics Senior Specialist must have anticipatory and predictive planning skills, the ability to access, analyzes, transmit and recommend to AMC courses of action in support of PACOM J4 missions. In addition, the analyst will support the development of policy, procedures, new business practices, and information systems for representative government agencies, both in national security and the civil sector. A successful applicant must be able to effectively communicate to General officers (GO) and Senior Exertive Service (SES) representatives, (from both Commands) the results of studies and analyses to clients through written reports and oral presentations; essentially, be the expert representative for AMC in PACOM J4 HQ.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Masters Degree.
* 20+ years of military background with a focus in logistics, supply chain management.
* Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and project management software.
* Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only US Citizens are eligible for a DoD security clearance.
* Top Secret Clearance required.
* Availability for occasional travel.
* Only local candidates will be considered for employment. No relocation assistance will be provided.
