HVAC Test & Balance Supervisor Job Description:
*****Position will be located at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea*****
Immediate need, our client seeks a professional Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), Environmental Controls System (ECS) and Collective Protection Systems (CPS) engineering and technical assistance in support of base-level Civil Engineers (CE) at Air Force (AF) facilities.
The contractor shall provide professional HVAC/ECS/CPS engineering and technical assistance in support of base-level Civil Engineers (CE) at various AF installations.
The Contractor shall provide expert commissioning, re-commissioning, certifications, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and work planning services for HVAC/ECS/CPS-supported facilities.
The contractor shall make ECS modifications to enhance energy savings, conduct reviews for design, sequence-of-operations, Operational & Maintenance (O&M) instruction manuals and make repairs to resolve temperature, humidity, pressurization, indoor air quality and energy savings issues. Work will involve installation, modification, removal of dampers, ductwork, HVAC & ECS equipment/systems, air filter units, sensors, meters, control work, and gauges.
The contractor will conduct CPS filter/equipment operational testing and certification to ensure protection against Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards.
The contractor will receive Government training to use the HVAC equipment.
The contractor shall provide field and or classroom training to base-level technicians on proper facility HVAC/CPS recurring work, ECS tune-up, air/water balancing techniques and use of specialized instruments and equipment.
The contractor will also review designs for new construction, minor and major facility renovations as required/requested by the Air Force.

Specific Qualifications Include:
8 years experience as an overall heating, ventilation, air conditioning /refrigeration (HVAC/R) and environmental control systems technician/mechanic.
Credentials and certifications from: - Associated Air Balancing Council - National Environmental Balancing Bureau - National Balancing Council - Certified Commissioning Authority or other Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) certification agencies.
Experience conducting HVAC system commissioning, re-commissioning and or retro-commissioning.
Experience as standalone technician or crew leader for multi-craft teams conducting HVAC/R & CPS equipment acceptance inspections.
Experience as an HVAC/R Environmental Controls System (ECS) specialist experienced in system troubleshooting and computer software programming for Direct Digital Controls, Electronic and Electric operating systems.
Experienced in facility HVAC/R system tune-ups that includes air/water testing, environmental controls adjustments, boiler combustion air analysis, air/fuel ratio adjustments and air conditioning equipment testing, evaluation and software programming.
Knowledge in mechanical design blue print reading, HVAC/R & CPS system analysis and energy savings.
Experience in generating technical documentation for executive-level review.
Experience in public speaking and generating power point presentation; able to brief Wing-level, Mission Support Group-level and Squadron-level leadership on HVAC/R, ECS and CPS issues and generate get well plans and cost analysis.
Experience in field and or classroom training for entry-level technicians on HVAC, ECS and CPS.
Must be able to obtain/hold a motor vehicle operator license.
Must be able to obtain/hold a security clearance.
