Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Engineer, Scientist or Geologistfor our Honolulu, HI office.

The selected candidate will provide project support for environmental projects, related to commercial, State, Municipal and DoD clients. Candidate will be responsible for project management, field work (including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, and soil gas sample collection), preparation of technical reports, and policy/community outreach support

Job Requirements :

The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years Environmental Consulting experience in Hawaii is required, with history of increasing responsibility. Direct experience with DoD projects is preferred. Experience to include CERCLA RI/FS , preliminary assessment/site inspections, Phase I ESA (ASTM) and Phase II site characterization (subsurface investigations). Policy development and community outreach experience is helpful. Solid working knowledge of HEER Office Technical Guidance Manual (TGM).

Experience with DoD, State, and private sector projects. Experience in preparation work plans, technical reports, and diagrams. Previous field experience required, including supervision of soil and groundwater sampling, and environmental drilling operations, soil gas sampling, ability to work independently on field projects.

Previous experience interfacing with clients, subcontractors, working groups and internal customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude is a plus. The successful candidate is able to communicate effectively and make evaluated decisions for the betterment of the client and the company. Must live in Hawaii at the time of application.

BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering (EIT preferred), Geology, or Environmental Sciences is preferred. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training, and OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations Management and Supervisor Training is helpful but not required.

The physical demands of this position require ability to handle general lifting associated with field sampling. The work environment will consist of an office environment as well as working in the field. Minimal travel is required, expected to be predominantly within Hawaii.
