Development/Fundraising Director Hilo, HI

We have an excellent opportunity for a Development/Fundraising Director in our Hilo, HI territory. This is a home office based position. Candidate must live in Hawaii with a strong preference to Hilo.
Director will be responsible, in collaboration with volunteers, for the overall fundraising and event execution of the Heart Walk in Hilo, a major fundraising event with a net goal of $140,000.
Primary responsibilities include: Prospect and obtain corporate and community sponsorships; recruit and manage volunteer leadership and committee members; cultivate and maintain strong volunteer relationships; recruit and manage walker teams; and overall event execution.
Required Experience
Qualified applicants will have:
* Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
* 2 - 4 years of successful fund raising. marketing or outside sales experience with proven track record in meeting goals
* Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management
* Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment.
* Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, as well as travel overnight or work evenings/weekends as needed.
