Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental and biological engineering. Develop and teach a course in sustainability engineering.
2. Establish a strong research program in sustainability and environmental engineering supported with extramural funding.
3. Supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in biological engineering or closely allied disciplines.
2. Formal experience in biological, environmental, bioprocess and/or biochemical engineering.
3. Solid background in engineering fundamentals as well as working knowledge of modern biological sciences as applied to biological systems.
4. Demonstrated ability as a teacher.
5. ABD applicants must have degree requirements completed at the time of hire.
Desirable Qualifications
1. Post-doctoral training.
2. Proven grant and/or publication records.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
5. Engineering licensure.
6. Demonstrated experience in teaching and graduate student supervision.
